Leading hair transplant surgeon Dr. Bruce Marko has an extensive educational background that underpins his expertise in hair restoration.
Education
Dr. Marko’s educational pursuits began at Creighton University, where he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology. This rigorous program gave him a strong foundation in biological sciences and human physiology.
After his undergraduate studies, Dr. Marko earned his M.D. from the University of Nebraska. While there, he was deeply involved in research and clinical practice. This helped him hone his skills and fostered an interest in cosmetic surgery, hair loss, and patient care.
Dr. Marko then went on to complete his residency training at ORMC. There, he focused on surgical techniques and patient care, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in the field. His time at ORMC included extensive training with expert surgeons. This gave him the practical skills needed to perform complex procedures with precision and care.
Looking to specialize even further, Dr. Marko undertook a fellowship in Hair Transplantation in Orlando. This was a transformative experience that allowed him to specialize exclusively in hair transplants. Here, Marko was able to master the art and science of hair transplantation, including the latest methods, such as the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) technique that he uses with his patients today.
